Akiya Hunter ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that converts Japanese yen (JPY) prices shown on web pages into United States dollars (USD). This policy explains what the Extension does and does not do with your information.
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. It does not track your browsing history, does not use analytics, does not display advertising, and does not build a profile of you.
To show USD conversions, the Extension fetches current currency exchange rates from the Frankfurter API (https://frankfurter.dev), a free, open-source exchange-rate service. These requests contain only the currency codes being converted (for example, JPY to USD). They do not include any information about you, the pages you visit, or the specific prices displayed on those pages. All price conversion is performed locally in your browser.
The Extension may temporarily cache the most recent exchange rate in your browser's local storage to reduce network requests and improve performance. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party.
The Extension requests only the permissions required to read prices on the pages you view and to display converted amounts. It does not access information beyond what is needed for currency conversion.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data, because the Extension does not collect any user data.
The Extension is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
